Katherine Briana Bell, known professionally as Khat Bell, is a world-renowned professional volleyball player, former U.S. national team member, and rising media personality redefining what it means to be a modern-day athlete. Born on March 5, 1993, in San Diego, California, Khat was raised in Mesquite, Texas, which she proudly considers home. Growing up with two sisters and a brother, she embraced teamwork
early and excelled in multiple sports before dedicating herself fully to volleyball in eighth grade. Her natural athleticism, paired with intense technical training, transformed her into one of the most powerful and versatile players in the game. By age sixteen, Khat had already made her mark on the international stage, representing the United States at the
2009 FIVB Girls’ Youth World Championship in Thailand. She was soon recognized as one of the top high school volleyball prospects in the country, ranked the No. 2 recruit nationally by PrepVolleyball.com and named to the 2010 Under Armour All-America First Team. At the University of Texas at Austin, Khat became a standout player for the Texas Longhorns.
